Neutral Color: Brown


Brown is a natural, solid, safe, calm, warm, down-to-earth, and an unifying neutral color.
This earth tone it is found extensively in nature in both living and non- living materials, such as trees or on the very ground.


It also represents stability, simplicity, dependability, stagnation, and health, it could be considered a little on the dull side if you don't know how to use it properly.


Brown conveys a feeling of wholesomeness, friendliness, and roughness.

Brown is the new black


Brown is quickly becoming the new black. The brown color and its lighter cousins in tan, taupe, beige or cream make excellent backgrounds helping other colors to appear richer,and brighter. Brown, black, grayed greens can give a room a sharp and contemporary look. Use brown to convey a feeling of warmth, honesty and wholesomeness. The combinations of pink, acid green and browns are a sweet acquisition to a dining or living room. Balance a bold red room with brown. And to give a soothing oasis and spa feeling to a bathroom use colors such as copper, pewter, and stone to reconnect homeowners with a more organic and natural setting. Although found in nature year-round, brown is often considered a fall and winter color. Its more casual than black.

Warm colors:


- Are the ones that transmit the sensation of heat;


- Are associated to the sun and the fire, Yellow, orange, and red;


- Are considered exciting colors;


- And stimulate the metabolism.


Cool or cold colors:


- Are the ones that transmit a sensation of cold;

- Are associated to the water, ice, the sky, and trees;

- Are the opposite of warm colors and serve as sedative;


- Are considered calming colors.
